Voice of Grandmother
We are so grateful to Jenny who very kindly recorded the voice of Grandmother for our production!
Jenny Agutter is an award-winning actor who most recently played the role of Sister Julienne in Call the Midwife. Her film credits include The Avengers, The Railway Children, Logan’s Run and Walkabout. Jenny was awarded a Bafta for her supporting role in 1997 film Equus.
Aaron is an Acting postgraduate from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Recently performed on tour in Austria with Vienna’s English Theatre’s production A Family Affair. His London Theatre credits include: Passing (RADA Studios) Grotto (Blue Elephant) Blue Giraffe (Redgates Theatre) Girlboss (Southwark Playhouse) and Wonder Boy (Arcola Theatre). As a writer his work has been performed at Arcola Theatre, Theatre503, The Vaults.
Kensuke / Michiya
James has previously trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and after this production will begin his BA in Acting at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Before 'Kensuke's Kingdom' he appeared in Yellow Earth Theatre's production 'ở Deptford' in London. This will be James' third time to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. His first production here was an adaptation of the children's stories 'Adventures of the Wishing-Chair' by Enid Blyton.
Gabriella trained at The Oxford School of Drama. Credits while training include: Jane in Jane Eyre, Hick in First Lady Suite, Melinda in Lockhart.
Rebecca believes theatre is a very important tool in children’s learning, she is extremely excited to be part of this amazing project
Scott trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and is a former student at the Dance School of Scotland.During his time at Mountview, Scott played many roles, from Will Parker in Oklahoma to Bernstein in Dogfight.
Scott has been involved in making some new work with fellow actors and directors, one of which ‘’There for the grace of god (go I)’’, had a run in Camden’s Peoples Theatre in London.
